Mount Pleasant works to update animal cruelty law

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) — Mount Pleasant leaders are looking to strengthen the town’s animal cruelty ordinance after a case of severe neglect.

Animal advocates say the new proposed ordinance would make Mount Pleasant one of the best municipalities in the state for animal care standards.
