GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCIV) — Molina Healthcare in partnership with Health Hurts Ministries and Bundles of Joy, will be holding a community baby shower Saturday. Their goal is to offer parents some of the much needed baby essentials free of cost, benefiting both parent and baby.
According to data provided by Molina Healthcare, approximately 40% of all households with young children under age 4 in diapers report diaper insecurity, and over 60% of low-income households report diaper insecurity. The lack of clean diapers and the subsequent issues that it can cause may lead to missed days at work and school, missed early education opportunities for toddlers, and an increased likelihood of painful rashes and infections.
Organizers state that they aim to prevent these issues and more through their community baby showers…
