Warmer weather returns along with clouds, a few showers!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The cold weather is behind us and warm, wetter weather is on the way over the upcoming days. Expect a mainly cloudy sky today along with the chance of a few spotty showers both this morning and afternoon. Temperatures will be much warmer today with highs in the mid to upper 60s. Isolated showers will continue tonight and into Wednesday as temperatures continue to warm. Highs on Wednesday will top out in the low 70s. A cold front will organize to our west on Thursday keeping most of the rain out of our area. Sea fog may become an issue, especially at night, later this week due to the unseasonably warm air running over the chilly ocean water. Visibilities could be greatly reduced at times Wednesday night and Thursday night. Scattered rain is likely on Friday as a weak cold front approaches from the west. One wave of energy will slide by during the day on Friday increasing our rain chances while a second wave of energy looks like it will pass through the area late Saturday. A good portion of Saturday may end up dry with highs in the mid 70s. We’ll start to dry out and cool down beginning on Sunday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s on Sunday with upper 50s expected to begin next week.
