Pedestrian killed in crash on Ashley Phosphate

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a collision that killed a pedestrian Tuesday night on Ashley Phosphate Rd. near Stratton Drive.

According to Corporal David Jones, a pedestrian was struck around 10 p.m. by a 2010 Dodge Challenger when they attempted to cross Ashley Phosphate Rd. After the collision, the pedestrian was struck again by a 2021 Honda Civic.

Officials say the Dodge Challenger was traveling east when the collision occurred, the driver was not injured.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been revealed. Count on 2 for more updates
