Student at Low Country School charged for threats

A student has been charged after an investigation into threats at a school in the Low Country. The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office says an 11 year old girl made threats towards students at McDonald Road Elementary.

WCIV TV in Charleston reports that the girl said she wanted to shoot up the school after an argument with another student.

No weapons were found during a search of the child’s home. The girl is being charged as a juvenile for making threats.
