MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Multiple vehicles were struck Thursday, including a Mount Pleasant police cruiser, after a driver suffered a “medical event.”
The incident happened in the McDonalds parking lot at the corner of Johnnie Dodds Boulevard and Bowman Road.
An official with the Mount Pleasant Police Department said officers were called to a crash where a driver was experiencing a medical issue and struck vehicles.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the crash.
The investigation remains active. Police told News 2 the driver could face charges if the incident was not medical-related.
