Dorchester Co. warns residents of rising phone scams

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – The Dorchester County Government has issued a scam alert and urges residents to be vigilant.

According to Dorchester County, scammers are contacting residents to inform them that their taxes are delinquent. Dorchester County posted on social media that they would not call residents regarding their taxes and to hang up immediately.

If residents have questions regarding their taxes, Dorchester County said to call their offices at 843-832-0118.
