CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- Some Lowcountry voters will head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in two special elections.
Here’s what voters need to know:
Where are special elections happening?
South Carolina House District 109
Eduardo Curry II and Tiffany Spann-Wilder, both Democrats, will face each other in a special election primary for a South Carolina House seat vacated last year by now-State Sen. Deon Tedder.
Tedder vacated the District 109 seat, which covers portions of Charleston and Dorchester counties, after winning a special runoff election to fill the District 42 seat in the South Carolina Senate.
The winner of Tuesday’s primary will run opposed in the April 2 special election as no Republicans have filed for the race.
