MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian killed in an auto-pedestrian crash Saturday night.
Jun Ji Weng, 49, of Moncks Corner, was fatally hit by a Lexus Sedan traveling west on Highway 52.
Weng was attempting to cross the street when she was hit near the intersection of Rembert Dennis Boulevard, according to authorities.
Weng was pronounced dead on the scene.
Moncks Corner Fire and Rescue, Berkeley County EMS, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash.
The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated.
