CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – High pressure will be in control for the rest of the day, which means we will see plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures! Temperatures this afternoon will be in the low to mid 60s. A quick moving disturbance will slide southeast from the Midwest today through the Appalachian Mountains tonight and into our area early Wednesday morning. A few showers are possible by the time we wake up Wednesday morning. Any showers should be brief and light but it may make for a wet trip into work for many of you. The chance of rain will decrease throughout Wednesday morning but one or two showers may linger into Wednesday afternoon. Expect a mostly cloudy day with highs a little cooler in the upper 50s. Clouds will clear out Wednesday night and a return to sunshine and 60s is expected for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. A developing storm system will likely bring our next rain chance starting Sunday afternoon through Sunday night and into the beginning of next week.
