Next storm system to arrive late this weekend!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Quiet weather is expected as we wrap up the work week and get ready to head into the weekend. Highs will reach the low 60s today under sunny skies before turning warmer Friday when highs are expected to reach the upper 60s. Dry weather is expected for most of the weekend ahead with sunny skies on Saturday and highs in the low 60s. Clouds will increase on Sunday as our next storm system begins to approach the area. Sunny skies will give way to cloudy skies by the afternoon with the chance of showers developing late in the day. It appears the showers will arrive toward sunset on Sunday with the coverage of rain increasing Sunday night into Monday as an area of low pressure develops off the Southeast coastline. Rain may stretch into Monday night before drier weather moves back in as the low pulls away on Tuesday. It will likely be a breezy stretch of weather starting Monday through midweek.
