Man accused of breaking into vehicle had key programmer and ghost keys, NCPD report says

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A man accused of breaking into a vehicle and stealing the victim’s social security and debit cards was arrested early Thursday morning.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) responded to an apartment complex off Dorchester Road shortly after 2:30 a.m. about a theft from a motor vehicle.

According to a report from the agency, the victim told police that the suspect, who was wearing a mask, entered his vehicle and stole his social security card and debit cards before leaving in a white vehicle.

A detective later observed the suspect’s vehicle nearby and conducted a traffic stop. It was determined through a records check that the suspect, 30-year-old De’shun De’quenci Parker, was driving under suspension and he was taken into custody.

Police found the victim’s ripped social security card along with a key programmer, two ghost keys, and a mask during a search of Parker’s vehicle.

Parker was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and possession of burglary tools. He was taken to the Dorchester County Detention Center.
