JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) — Charleston County Coroner Bobbi O’Neal released the identity of a man who died in a single-vehicle crash on Feb. 8.
James “Jay” Maynard, 51, died of blunt force injuries in a collision near the intersection of Fort Johnson Road and Harbor View Road.
Mr. Maynard was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:48 p.m.
The collision closed the intersection of Dills Bluff Road and Fort Johnson Road for several hours Thursday night.
The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision.
