NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston County Coroner (CCCO) identified the two teenagers killed in a Sunday night crash on Dorchester Road.
Tavares Simpson, 18, from North Charleston, died due to injuries from the collision at approximately 7:26 p.m., CCCO said. Also killed was Niy’Aisha Haynes, 18, from North Charleston. She died of injuries from the car collision around 7:26 p.m.
Around 7:30 p.m., the North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) responded to Dorchester Road at Brossy Circle after receiving reports of a two-vehicle collision.
When they arrived, police discovered two victims had died, and one person was injured, said NCPD spokesman Harve Jacobs.
NCPD is investigating this incident.
