SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCIV) – Join the Summerville Police Department Tuesday July 2 and Wednesday July 3 for a “Beat the Heat” event. In an effort to beat the continuing summer heat and promote community engagement officers will be offering free cool treats for anyone to enjoy. They will be engaging with their community at various locations throughout Summerville including neighborhood pools and local parks.
