Venezuelan community in Charleston stands in solidarity with freedom fighters in Venezuela

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)  – On Sunday the Venezuelan American community in Charleston will unite at Munkle Brewing Co. to express support for those in Venezuela fighting against the Maduro regime. Led by Hector J. Salazar, the gathering aims to highlight the urgent need for international attention and solidarity with the Venezuelan people’s struggle for freedom and human rights.

The event will take place from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Munkle Brewing Co., located at 1513 Meeting Street Rd, Charleston, SC.

Salazar emphasized the importance of the community coming together during this critical time. “As Venezuelans living in the United States, we cannot remain silent while our compatriots fight for basic freedoms,” he said.

Recent developments in Venezuela have emphasized the critical need for global support as citizens bravely confront oppression. The gathering serves as a platform for the Charleston Venezuelan community to raise awareness and demonstrate solidarity.

Salazar highlighted the community’s unity and determination: “We have a responsibility to stand with our fellow Venezuelans who are risking everything for liberty. This event symbolizes our commitment to supporting their cause.”
