When will trash be picked up during Tropical Storm Debby?

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A slow-moving Tropical Storm Debby has caused trash collection to be delayed in multiple towns and cities this week. Below is a look at when you can expect your trash to be picked up in the coming days.

Charleston County closed the Bee’s Ferry Landfill due to excessive rainfall over the last several days, which will likely delay operations. A reopening date has not been announced.

Dorchester County Convenience Sites will follow their regular operating schedules on Thursday.

Berkeley County Government offices will reopen for normal business hours on Thursday including the Berkeley County Landfill and Convenience Centers. The landfill be open for extended hours on Saturday, August 10 from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

CHARLESTON

Trash pickup will remain canceled for the week. Due to the County landfill being closed, garbage collection will not resume until Friday. Residents can use the city’s trash tracker app for updates.
