Park Circle Cares nonprofit hosts free food distribution on Saturday

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Park Circle Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity in the Lowcountry, continues to host monthly food giveaways at North Charleston High School, providing vital support to those in need.

The event will take place on Saturday, August 17th at 9 a.m. in the west side parking lot of North Charleston High School, located at 1087 East Montague Avenue. The distribution will be accessible through the Hyde Avenue entrance.

The nonprofit will distribute fresh produce and other groceries to the community, with no limit on how much clients can take.

To help with transporting the items, attendees are encouraged to bring their own carts, bags, or boxes. The first fifty families will also receive free chicken.

“We service people of all ages and walks of life,” said Orly Janssen, CEO of Park Circle Cares. “Our mission remains the same: to distribute nutritious food and treat people with dignity and respect.”
