Southern Living today released their annual list of The South’s Best New Barbecue Joints and the Charleston area had three restaurants make the cut, including the No. 1 entry, Palmira Barbecue. The state of South Carolina had five restaurants on the list, which was tied with Texas for the most. Charleston and Raleigh, NC were the only cities to have multiple BBQ joints make the cut.
