FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man from South Carolina is facing serious felony charges in Fayette County. Sheriff Shannon Morris has shared details about the case.
On August 14, 2024, authorities began investigating a sexual assault that took place in the Ansted area of Fayette County. A victim reported that she was raped multiple times along a trail and creek near Ansted . Detectives from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department identified the suspect and secured warrants for his arrest, executed today.
Lawrence “Moe” Hunt, 60, from Hanahan, South Carolina, has been charged with six counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault. He will now wait for his next court appearance.
