Coastal low to bring rain chance, cloudy weekend!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A wave of low pressure will develop along a stalled front to our south bringing plenty of clouds and an increased chance of rain as we head into the weekend. This low will pass close to our coastline tonight. While a few spotty showers are in the forecast this morning and afternoon, we’ll see a steadier rain develop by this evening, and persist through at least Saturday morning. A few showers may linger into our Saturday afternoon and evening. Highs will only top out in the upper 70s to around 80°, well below the average high of 87°. Moisture will linger along the coast on Sunday keeping a good amount of clouds and the potential for a few showers, especially near the beaches. Highs on Sunday will be near 80° as well. Sunshine and drier weather will return next week.
