HANAHAN, S.C. (WCSC) – Officials with Joint Base Charleston confirmed a piece of a C-17 fell off during a flight and landed in a church parking lot. A Joint Base Charleston C-17 Globemaster III landed safely Thursday after it experienced a malfunction during a flight and lost a piece of the tail cone.
