This SC restaurant ranks as the state’s No. 1 place for pasta. What makes it special?

A South Carolina restaurant is home to the “most popular pasta dish” in the state, a new report finds.

Le Farfalle , the Charleston restaurant that serves the beloved dish, also ranks as the No. 1 place to eat pasta in the Palmetto State.

To determine the best pasta restaurants, the review website Yelp said it studied eateries in each state. It “ranked those spots based on the volume and ratings of reviews” left over time from Elite users, those who are among the most active on the platform.

“Ah, pasta! Is there anything cozier than diving into a warm, cheesy bowl of cacio e pepe, swirling up some spaghetti and meatballs, or sinking our forks into a towering plate of lasagna?” Yelp wrote in its Oct. 1 report. “We love you in all your cheesy forms, topped with all of your delicious sauces.”

Why the SC restaurant is a fan favorite

Le Farfalle topped the list in South Carolina as Yelp gave a nod to its agnolotti, a type of stuffed pasta. The restaurant’s version includes “duck confit, funghi misti” and parmigiano reggiano cheese, according to an online menu.
