CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is honoring a fallen deputy with a road sign memorial on Savannah Highway.
The Sheriff’s Office said Deputy Jeremy LaDue was on patrol in West Ashley in 2020 when another vehicle collided with his car on Savannah Highway.
Officials report he later died from injuries received in the crash.
Over the past year, deputies say the State Legislature passed a resolution to erect a memorial road sign at the crash site in honor of Deputy LaDue.
