LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) – The gates to the Coastal Carolina Fair in Ladson will open Thursday at 3pm, kicking off 11 days of games, rides, attractions, and food.
“We’ve designed this park for a family-oriented, you know, group of people and that’s what we’ve been always trying to maintain,” said Gary Leonard, the Co-Chairman for Media and Community Relations for the Coastal Carolina Fair and the Exchange Club of Charleston.
There’s no shortage of savory bites and sweet treats on the fairgrounds. Vendors will be serving up everything from classics like corndogs and cotton candy, to the more unique options.
“This year I think probably the most popular thing, it seems to be, whatever pickles can go into or be infused with. You’re going to get it. Everything from mac and cheese to drinks…” Leonard told News 2.
Joseph Haag, the owner of Kora and Mila’s Cookie Dough, travelled from Wisconsin to sell his cookie dough on a stick.
“We have several flavors: chocolate chip, monster, Reese’s, triple chocolate chip, sugar, white chocolate cranberry,” Haag shared. “Our new one that my wife created this year is our birthday cake cookie dough on a stick.”
