Teenager hit by car while riding bike to school in Goose Creek

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD)- A teenager was injured after being struck by a car while on the way to school Friday morning, according to the Goose Creek Police Department.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on Crowfield Boulevard near Hamlet Circle.

Chief LJ Roscoe said the student was riding their bike when the crash occurred and taken to a nearby hospital. Further details on their condition were not provided.

The driver remained on the scene until police arrived.

An investigation is ongoing.
