CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Off and on showers are moving onshore this morning making for a wet start to our Election Day across parts of the Lowcountry. The chance of showers will be highest early today with decreased rain chances later this morning and a mainly dry afternoon. Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine and highs near 80 degrees today. We’ll be dry overnight and the first half of Wednesday before the rain chance increases again Wednesday afternoon and evening. There is the possibility of heavy rain being close to the Lowcountry depending on the placement of tropical moisture and an approaching front. We’ll monitor the potential for heavier rainfall closely. Rain chances will decrease again on Friday with only spotty rain possible for the weekend. High temperatures will stay warm through the weekend in the upper 70s and low 80s.
