CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Most of the Lowcountry escaped any chances of rain this weekend, but a better chance is on the way as we head into our Veterans Day Monday! Our next cold front from the west has brought more clouds to our area, in addition to an uptick in humidity along the coast. We’ll stay mostly cloudy tonight as a result with overnight lows slowly cooling into the 60s. While a few sprinkles are possible near the coast for the rest of the evening, rain chances will begin to increase after midnight. Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder should become more widespread in time for the Monday morning commute, but anything that we see will move offshore by the afternoon. Rain totals should stay below 1/2″ for most of the area, with the possibility of a localized inch in any thunderstorm.
