NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Police in North Charleston are investigating a collision that left three individuals injured Tuesday night.
Officers were on the scene of an auto-pedestrian collision on Ashley Phosphate Road around 8:30 p.m.
A mother and her two children were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the incident, Harve Jacobs, spokesperson for the department, said.
The driver in the collision was charged with failure to yield to pedestrians, police said.
All lanes on Ashley Phosphate at Stall Road running towards I-26 were closed, the agency said via X.
The North Charleston Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating.
