Crews repair busted waterline in North Charleston neighborhood

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A damaged water line in North Charleston has been repaired.

Police closed a section of Garfield Avenue at Baker Avenue in the Accabee neighborhood on Sunday while crews worked to repair a busted water line.

Charleston Water System said the water main break happened around 3 a.m. Only six customers were without water.

Police and crews placed three cases of water at homes that were affected by the outage. They also provided buckets to help residents get water from a water buffalo.

The water line was repaired around 7:30 p.m. and all roads were reopened.
