Another SC earthquake rocked the Midlands early Saturday. Here’s where

South Carolina’s seventh earthquake of the year was confirmed Saturday morning.

A 2.57-magnitude earthquake hit near Elgin at around 6:30 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. It happened about 1.5 miles below ground, the USGS said.

The previous earthquake was reported Thursday, April 24, also near Elgin in Kershaw County. It, too, happened about 1.5 miles below ground…
