Local restaurant raises funds after tragic drowning of two swimmers at Breach Inlet

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Two local restaurants are looking to the community to help raise money for the families of two people who died after being rescued from Breach Inlet.

Yoselin Lopez-Perez, 18, and Guillermo Quintero-Camacho, 28, both drowned after attempting to swim in the notorious inlet. Camacho was a cook at the King Street location of Azul Mexicano and had been working there for six months, according to his co-workers.

“We didn’t know it was him who had died for days,” said Juan Cisneros the manager at Azul downtown. After Camacho didn’t come in for his shift for two days, his cousin, who also works at the restaurant, started calling hotels and hospitals to try learning of his whereabouts…
