CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Conditions are turning much drier as we approach the weekend, but plan accordingly for a week’s worth of above-average temperatures – and a chance of new daily record highs!
Isolated showers and thunderstorms remain possible overnight as a weak upper-level feature pushes across the Southeast. Activity will stay below severe limits, and we should become completely dry before the Thursday morning commute. Overnight lows will cool into the 60s and low 70s.
Temperatures on Thursday are set to approach 90° for the first time this year underneath a partly to mostly sunny sky. As high pressure builds in from the south, afternoon highs will warm a few more degrees, especially on Friday and Saturday. Look for highs to span the low to mid 90s on both days (low 80s at the beaches); heat index values, however, are expected to climb to near 100°…
