CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — Whether vacationing or living in the Lowcountry for a while, seeing a shark close to the shoreline can be startling. However, sharks may be moving closer to beaches due to climate change.
“I think focusing research on the ocean impacts is hugely critical for understanding how this is going to have an impact on all of us,” said Harley Newton, the chief scientist and veterinarian for Ocearch.
