CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The City of Charleston is monitoring a low-pressure system off the South Carolina coast that could bring heavy rain and potential flooding to the area Wednesday.
Forecasters say high tide is expected at 4 p.m., and the National Weather Service anticipates 1-3 inches of rain across the region, including downtown Charleston, with locally higher amounts possible.
“Minor flooding may occur in areas with poor drainage or where heavy rain coincides with peak tide. Travel during the late afternoon and evening may be affected, and drivers are advised to allow extra time and avoid flooded roadways,” the city said…
