Charleston County School District (CCSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marvin Conyers as the Interim Principal of Buist Academy for Advanced Studies, effective June 1, 2025.
Conyers currently serves as assistant principal at Buist and brings a well-rounded blend of experience, insight, and leadership to the role. His connection to the Buist community spans several years, having previously served as a math teacher, department chair, and leader of numerous academic initiatives. Over time, he has earned the trust of students, families, and staff through his steady presence, clear communication, and deep commitment to excellence.
Conyers also brings experience from Dorchester School District Two, where he served as an assistant principal with responsibilities ranging from instructional oversight and scheduling to federal Title I program management and school operations.
