Community microchip scanning stations will debut in Lowcountry to help reunite families with lost pets

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Pet Helpers will launch its first community microchip scanning station to help reunite lost pets with their families, so furry friends do not have to enter the shelter.

The first scanner will be available to the public on June 10 at James Island Town Hall.

“This is about neighbors helping neighbors, about giving pets the best chance to get back to the families that love them, without ever having to spend a night in a shelter.
