MOUNT PLEASANT,S.C. (WCIV) — Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie announced Monday his intention to seek another term leading “the town he loves.”
Haynie’s reelection announcement comes as he oversaw the town’s attempt to curtail overdevelopment, limit short-term rentals, and find transportation improvements while keeping Mount Pleasant’s spirit the same.
“I’ve always said, if you love the people you serve, everything else falls in place,” Haynie said. “I think I’ve got a good record. … And I am not ready to walk away from that yet. I’m going to continue working on all the things we’ve made progress on. We want to protect the character of Mount Pleasant.”…
