LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — The Lowcountry Food Bank announced Tuesday that it has been awarded significant funding from the Norfolk Southern Corporation in support of the food bank’s mission to distribute fresh food to South Carolina homes.
According to the release, $50,000 in grant funding was given to the Lowcountry Food Bank, allowing them to distribute more than 110,000 pounds of food, including fresh produce to 3,328 households throughout coastal South Carolina.
