GREENVILLE, S.C. — Greenville and Charleston’s eviction rates rank among the highest in the nation according to Princeton University’s Eviction Lab.
In a report released earlier this month, Greenville’s eviction rate of 20% claimed the second highest rate in the nation among 45 cities monitored by Eviction Lab from June 2024 to June 2025. That’s roughly one in every five Greenville renters, with 14,751 served eviction papers.
