Man arrested after high-speed pursuit ends in crash, deputies say

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Charleston County deputies arrested a man after he crashed following a high-speed pursuit on Sunday night.

Elijah Robinson, 23, is facing charges from Isle of Palms Police after he was involved first in a chase with officers, according to an incident report.

Deputies say that Robinson drove off the Isle of Palms Connector after driving recklessly at high speeds. They later learned that the Isle of Palms Police attempted to perform a traffic stop, but Robinson evaded the stop. Robinson then drove onto US-17 traveling towards Charleston.

He then turned onto multiple roads before hitting a raised median at Long Point Road and Whipple Road, causing his car to flip…
