Charleston police see strong support for King Street curfew on first enforcement weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — June 27 was the official first day of the new King street curfew and on that day, and the following weekend, the Charleston Police Department reports that they have already seen overwhelming support for the ordinance.

According to their statement, Chief Walker was on King Street Friday night for the first night of enforcement and reported being encouraged by the overall atmosphere in the Central Business District.
