CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The South Carolina Shrimpers Association released the names of 25 restaurant businesses named in a federal lawsuit accused them of defrauding customers over the source of shrimp they serve.
The group has filed an amended suit naming the 25 restaurants it alleged were “found to be outright fraudulent” by actively promoting “local” or “Lowcountry heritage” while serving foreign imports.
