CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Mommy Wellness Mini-Tour, aimed to help families with education and support, stopped by the Citadel Mall in Charleston Saturday.
The goal is to create an environment where families feel supported and informed, with expert-led education workshops on nutrition, infant and maternal health and more. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., patrons received that information along with a free cooking demonstration, a community baby shower and a community giveaway to help support local families in need.
“We are seeing a rising number of families facing hardship and our last community baby shower saw a staggering 60% increase in expecting moms,” said Joy Campbell, the founder of I Serve With Joy. “It became clear that we needed to do more. In a time when families are being stretched beyond their limits—when choosing between food, gas, and basic hygiene has become all too common—the need for compassion-driven community support has never been greater.”
Additional tour stops include Walterboro, which will center around a back-to-school focus with essential supplies for students and families; and Jasper County, which will feature a Mommy Wellness pop-up offering another round of baby care essentials and community support for parents navigating the early years of parenthood…
