Pedestrian killed, driver charged with DUI in overnight crash in West Ashley

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — A 25-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in West Ashley overnight, according to police.

The crash happened on July 14 around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Sam Rittenberg Boulevard and Dupont Road.
