Man arrested for strong-armed robbery behind North Charleston gas station: Report

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A 57-year-old man was arrested Saturday after allegedly stealing a wallet and an iPhone 13 from another man behind a gas station on Rivers Avenue, according to a North Charleston Police Department report.

Johnathan Brown Cochran was arrested and is charged with strong-armed robbery, police reported.

Around 8 a.m. on Saturday, officers were sent to 5710 Rivers Avenue for a robbery. At the scene, officers encountered a victim who said that he was lying down behind the store and was robbed by two men, according to the narrative provided by law enforcement…
