CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A Ladson man has been sentenced to federal prison by the U.S. Department of Justice for attempted online enticement of a minor.
Joseph Daniel Bair, 40, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Bruce Howe Hendricks to 230 months in federal prison for the attempted online enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, followed by a lifetime term of court-ordered supervision, U.S. Attorney Bryan Stirling for the District of South Carolina says.
Members of the South Carolina Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an undercover investigation targeting online sexual offenders in early November 2021.
