ANA Plane Clips Breeze Airways Jet in Charleston, Minor Injuries Reported

Last Friday night, a Breeze Airways flight from Las Vegas to Norfolk was diverted to Charleston International Airport due to weather. The aircraft, flight MX509, an Airbus A220-300, landed around 9:30 p.m. and was preparing to refuel when it was struck by a taxiing ANA Boeing 787-10. Minor injuries were assessed at the scene, according to 13 News Now.

As passengers deplaned, first responders arrived at the scene. Breeze Airways stated that “all Guests have safely deplaned, and emergency response teams are evaluating a few Guests for minor injuries.” The airline also arranged a recovery flight: “A recovery flight is scheduled to depart CHS at approximately 1:20 a.m. ET to safely deliver our Guests to ORF on a new aircraft as we work with authorities to determine the cause of the incident,” the airline said in a statement to 8 News Now…
