Lowcountry school loses its charter, state funding

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) — A Lowcountry charter school that opened less than two years has now lost its state funding.

In a unanimous vote, the South Carolina Public Charter School Board of Trustees “affirmed the revocation of the charter and contract termination” with Sea Island Heritage Academy.

The decision ends its Board endorsement for the school and its financial support as well…
