The Old Growth Forest Network has declared the Angel Oak and its surrounding area a community forest.
“It’s always a refreshing place. But mainly because of the people not just the tree,” says artist Frank deLoach, who spends months creating drawings of one of the Lowcountry’s most iconic spots.
